Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Luno, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are using Luno on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

Permitted use

You may use Luno for personal, non-commercial mood tracking and self-reflection. The app is intended to help you build self-awareness and healthy emotional habits. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm others.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Post content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, explicit, or otherwise harmful to others.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with the app's code, servers, or databases.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access or scrape content from the app.
• Distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the app.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

User content

Content you post in the community (text, images, mood level, display name) may be visible to other users of the community feed on this device. You retain ownership of your content. By posting, you grant Luno a limited, royalty-free licence to display that content within the app for community features.

You may delete your posts at any time from Profile → My Posts. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines without notice.

Accounts & security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, contact us promptly. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account.

In-app shop & coins

Luno features a virtual coin system. Coins are earned through daily check-ins and achievements. Coins and shop items have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or carried over outside the app. In-app purchases (if any) are final and processed through your device's platform store.

Not medical advice

Luno is designed for personal reflection and self-tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Do not disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have recorded or read in the app. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact local emergency services or a qualified mental health professional immediately.

Intellectual property

Luno, its design, interface, logos, and all non-user content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or proprietary content beyond what is needed to use the app as intended.

Changes to the app

We may add, modify, or remove features over time. We will do our best to notify users of significant changes within the app. We reserve the right to discontinue the app with reasonable notice where feasible.

Disclaimer of warranties

Luno is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

You may stop using Luno at any time. You can delete your account from the side menu. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the integrity of the app. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any other remedy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect when changes were last made. Continued use of Luno after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
