Overview

Luno is a personal mood journal designed with privacy in mind. Your check-ins, notes, and preferences are stored on your device. This policy describes what data the app handles and how you can control it.

By using Luno, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.

Information we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the app's features:

• Mood check-ins — mood level (1–5), optional notes, contributing factors, and timestamps.
• Profile details — display name, email address, and optional avatar that you choose to provide during sign-up or profile editing.
• App preferences — daily reminder settings, display options, selected theme, default calendar view, and coin balance.
• Community content — posts you voluntarily create in the Calm community feed, including text, optional photos, mood level, and your display name.
• Achievement & shop data — unlocked achievements, earned coins, and items you have obtained from the in-app shop.
• Device diagnostics — if you contact support, you may voluntarily share your device model, OS version, or screenshots to help us diagnose an issue.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Your precise location or GPS data.
• Contacts, calendar events, or other app data on your device.
• Browsing history or activity outside of Luno.
• Payment or financial information (handled exclusively by your device's platform store).

Community posts

When you post in the Calm community feed, the content (display name, avatar, mood level, post text, optional photo, and timestamp) is visible to other users of the community feed on this device. You can manage or delete your posts at any time from Profile → My Posts.

Reporting or blocking a user affects what you see in your feed on this device only. Reports are evaluated for violations of our community guidelines.

How we use your data

Data is used solely to power app features and improve your experience:

• Displaying your mood history, insights, and streaks.
• Delivering daily reminders at your chosen time.
• Providing Calm tools and the community feed.
• Tracking achievements and your coin balance.
• Responding to support requests you initiate.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

Storage & security

Your mood entries, profile, and settings are stored on your device using the secure on-device storage mechanisms provided by your operating system. Community feed data is saved within the app's sandboxed document storage.

We apply reasonable technical measures to protect information while it is in transit or processed within the app. However, no system is completely secure; use the app with that understanding.

Data retention

Your data persists on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. You can delete individual mood entries from the Today or Calendar view, manage your community posts from Profile → My Posts, and remove all app data by deleting your account (side menu → Delete Account).

Deleting your account removes locally stored data associated with your profile. If you uninstall the app without first deleting your account, some data may remain in your device's storage depending on your OS backup settings.

Third-party services

Luno does not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. In-app purchases are processed through your device's platform store (e.g., Google Play or the App Store) under their respective privacy policies. We do not receive your payment details.

Your choices

• Profile — edit your display name and avatar from the side menu at any time.
• Reminders — enable, disable, or change the reminder time in Preferences.
• Community posts — delete any post you have created from Profile → My Posts.
• Sign out — end your session on this device from the side menu.
• Account deletion — permanently delete your account and locally stored data from the side menu.

Children

Luno is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Luno after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
